Default I didnt know...

That I wanted a new puppy until I meet this guy!

We had to put our dog down not so long ago, and I thought it would be a bit before I was ready to have a new pup. When I seen this guy I couldnt help but take him home with me.

His name is Wiley, and he is a 14 week old border collie black lab mix.

I have a border/lab mix.

Intelligent, loads of energy, loyal as they come and no dog rivals his frisby skills.

The crafty little shit opens interior doors no matter the swing.

He needs to learn that door thing. We got him saturday and that night he locked him self in the bathroom while we were sleeping. Instead of barking or scratching at the door, he pulled the towels off the rack and made a bed. Next morning we found him there and he just got up like it was no big deal.

That's actual good. He shouldn't have separation anxiety.

Mine has the seperation anxiety! I would like him to be a little more independent. At the same time he doesn't require my constant attention, he just wants to sit next to me.

Sorry but wrong... LOL

A friend of mine has a border whippet mix that was bred for playing flyball. He posted a video a couple days ago of him throwing a frisbee over 250 feet. The dog from a standing start ran it down and caught it in the air. Their vertical leap is unreal. Border labs are cool as hell though too.

I take my 3/4 Aussie 1/4 Aussie Cattle Dog to Orion Oaks Dog Park every weekend to throw the disc. That dog amazes me. I throw the Kong disc as hard as I can and he catches it almost every time.
