The fenders are now mounted about 1 1/4 inches higher than stock. I suppose I could just move the mounting holes up and reuse the original latches. The tab for the latch wouldn't be on the flat section of the hood anymore.

That's what I did and it worked just fine. Depending on how much of an angle the top latch is on, you may have to kick out the lower mounting bracket a little bit too.

I've been looking for ideas for the passenger front seat since it is a pain in the ass to climb through to the back. Anyone seen a front seat setup like this?

They said they came from a CJ5, but I've never seen one with a folding backrest like that.

So basically is just a stock willys hinge and the only special thing is the folding back?

The pivot that is bolted to the bottom of the seat is the same as my 74 CJ5. I have an original seat that maybe I can modify. It needs to be recovered anyway.

Well cool, I think it's a good idea, nothing I've ever seen done

The 78 is going to sit for a while. I think the rings are shot in it, since it smokes like a freight train. So I got back to work on my 74.
I've converted the front to disc brakes, power brakes, and power steering.

Woot!

The doors will be white to match the top. Why blue?

Worked on making the metal braces for the lift gate today. I still need some sheet steel to skin it with.
