Arrow Calling all bluetooth speaker owners

I'm looking to get some feedback on portable bluetooth speakers.

I would like to buy one that is lightweight, reasonably loud with good sound across all frequencies. Good battery life is a plus but not a deal breaker.

What do you have and what do you recommend?

My son has one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/HMDX-HX-P230GR-Classic-Bluetooth-Wireless/dp/B007R6HV4S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1378735064&sr=8-1&keywords=jam+bluetooth+speakers

It sounds really good for the size.

I've got this thing:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...uctId=16805186

I'm amazed at how loud it is. Battery life will easily last several hours. Only downfall is your phone or device has to be pretty close to it (I'd say within 15 feet), which kind of defeats the bluetooth purpose.

Solgoode has this:

http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-984-0...etooth+speaker

awesome sound, works for 5 or 6 hours blaring music at volleyball tournaments. Great bass, easy sync.

We went and got the cheapo ones from Big Lots for $20.00. Sylvania brand I think? We've used it with an Ipad and had it on for 8 hours straight without killing the battery. Good and loud too. Recharges in a couple hours with the same Ipad charger.

Bose Soundlink. A little on the pricey side, but great sound and portability.

I'd recommend the Logitech UE. I use it for music and conference calls regularly. 10hrs of battery life.

http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-984-0...ds=logitech+ue

It's also pretty cheap. And fairly compact.

When I was looking at devices, this one was getting the best reviews.

That guy was something I was considering for my desk at work. A guy out in the shop had one and it was amazed at the sound it could put out.

I ended up getting a refurb Creative one for cheap. It sounds good, but has no battery.

That little guy is in my wish list...

Jambox, good volume, good battery (8-10 hours). Bluetooth distance isn't great, but bluetooth distance in general isn't stellar.

My wife got me this:

http://www.brookstone.com/big-blue-w...FUxgMgodBVoA2w

Sounds great, about 10 hr battery life.

But now that I know what she spent on it, I'm kinda pissed.....

Is there any sort of a broad casting plug in that I can hook up to my scanner via the headphones jack, and then broadcast via bluetooth to one of these speakers?
