I made the next step in my journey. I'm getting a circumferential abdominoplasty in December, as losing over 100 lbs. leaves a lot of excess skin. I've done all that I can with working out and such to get rid of it, but the only way to get rid of it now is surgically.

Maybe if I post the before/after pictures you can make fun of my deflated spare tire.

I was close to 325, got down to 210. I've put on 20 lbs. through a lot of lifting and protein over the past six months. It's funny that people ask me if I've lost more weight, when in fact I've just gained it throughout my upper body.

I'm hoping to avoid that, but don't know if i will be able to. i've lost 150 so far, and at first it looked like it had been mostly shrinking as i lost weight, the past few months have changed my thoughts on that

Maybe i'll just get really drunk and have at it with a utility knife and fishing hook/line.

Anything over 100, especially if you start losing it quickly which most guys do will have loose/baggy skin. Hitting the weights will help in other areas, but when it comes to the stomach area you're pretty much fucked.

I started watching a video of the surgery online. Your comment about a utility knife paired with watching the video makes me a bit nauseous.

Yeah, i've been hitting the weights and doing Planks and pushups, but still have a bunch in the lower stomach

I'm not even going to think about such a procedure for at least 6 more months though. Try to get as much away naturally as I can.
Which i'm doing good at.

I wish I could find a way to get motivated to lose weight.
I don't think much will happen until after the holidays, once this wedding is done, and so on and so forth.

the only thing that has worked in the past after i put my weight back on was a $5 weekly bet with 4 other guys for a summer. My cheap dutch ass couldn't stand forking out $5 because they lost more weight than me

Gotta stay at the same weight for at least six months IIRC.

When I do planks at a normal height, my loose skin off my stomach is halfway to the floor from the rest of my body.

Down 50 as of this morning. I stalled out around 40lbs lost for a couple months, then re-focused and I've been hitting it hard. Feels damn good.

Down 27 as of this morning. People are starting to notice which is giving me a lot of motivation. I want to start new weekly goals to help me stay focused. Having hard time setting a weekly "reward" if I hit my goal. Any ideas?

Hoping to be down another 50 by my 21st birthday in April, it sounds easy to me right now but I know it is going to get much harder. Is there a way to help keep the extra skin off? Don't really want to have to get surgery like these guys are talking about at 21 for something like that as my goal is to be down to 180ish (total of 120lbs) by the end of next summer.

Never mind on the skin part, a little googling answered my question. But any good ideas on rewards? Don't really want it to be food or something like that because I wanna stay focused to diet

So far my only rewards have been feeling better, and having people notice me looking better.

Another, I guess, has been to literally get rid of all of my old clothing and have to buy new.
Down 150# so far since december, another ~15 to my "Goal" After that one i think i'll keep aiming downward in 20# increments.

You could make your rewards something fun, circle jerk at the adult theatre?

Honestly after doing the Paleo thing for a while, I don't even want "rewards".

From time to time, if I want a cheat, I'll cheat, but I don't see it as any sort of a reward or anything.

Having a moderate cheat meal each week is ok. Keeps the metabolism moving. What did you have in mind for rewards?

Idk I was just wondering if anyone did anything for a week to week goal. If there are no rewards/punishments I see myself falling of my week to week goals.
