It works for a while. Usually only lasts about an hour before the pain comes back.

My knowledge of driving semi is all AG based. When a weigh station is open on the interstate who has to stop? Does it vary by state? Some go in some drive by. Is it only commercial vechials? Does a pick-up ever have to weigh? These are questions that keep me up at night.

In my work truck which is a 3/4 ton gas I have to stop if I am on the clock and pulling a trailer. If I am off the clock pulling a trailer for personal reasons I don't have to stop. If I was driving a commercial truck with over a 10,000 gvw I would have to stop at every weigh station while on the clock. As I understand it you only have to stop with a personal vehicle is if you are making money with what you are hauling such as a race car that you win cash with.

I see big trucks roll past. I never stop with the 3/4 or the 1 ton hauling for work. I thought they were exempt. Seems like it could be real dicey if you were hauling toys with a "possible" purse. If you go through and aren't required is that a ticket too? I would guess with the police for profit system we have it would be.

If I am pulling a trailer I am filling out a log book and everything. If you are not one the logook and dot bullshit you are rolling the dice on getting in big trouble. Michigan seems more easy going than other states with these laws. I travel out of state a fair amount so I make sure to do everything by the book.

My truck is good for 9,000ish pounds so Any trailer I hook up to will bring my capacity to over 10,000 pounds.
