It is very very consistant. I can get into third without a grind if I let the RPM's drop a bit and is goes right into gear no problem. I suppose I'm not sure what the regular failure on it is, but I don't see one coming, and I love that I can cruise in whatever gear I want, and get over 20 mpg average.

I've gone back and forth about that. I am also considering doing a newer model for nicer seatbelts for the backseat and a few other modern updates since I'd want to have the kiddos ride along if I used it like that.

I would swap shafts before I swapped the whole axle...

Nah, you can swap in a D60 in about 8-10 years.
