The power delivery is a lot smoother, I've found, with a belt over a chain. It also doesn't require really any adjustment or lubrication, keeping things cleaner.

Shaft drive is ok too, definitely less regular maintenance then a chain drive, but does require periodic lubrication and from what I've read, loses more power in transfer with comparison to a belt or chain.

The only cons to the belt drive I can think of are the expense and not being good in offroad situations due to the possibility of debris getting lodged in between the sprocket and belt.

that was short lived. Basically, parts for it are made of unobtanium. So after I cleaned it up, I set it outside and sold it for what I paid for it.

Anybody have an old Honda Trail they don't need?

Got ran off the road once again today. I fucking hate people in Colorado. Dumb hippie bitch decided to merge into my lane without looking. I'm completely off the road and she looks at me like I am the asshole. I guess what do you expect from a state where pot is legal but high capacity mags are not. Fucking hippy fucks.

today is going to be my first ride since my shoulder surgery back in May. I've only put 150 miles on it so far this year in that was all in one day the day of the blessing of the bikes in Baldwin.

Thats why I got this Valkyrie. I never rode anything but a moped when I was 16. But this cruiser beats all hell out of the moped, and I got a sweet deal on it that I couldn't pass up either...

Im looking to make that switch too soon, Ive had 3 rockets and im done with them, but its hard to when cruisers are so much. What kind is yours? Yamaha?

its a 2003 Kawasaki mean streak 1500. just rolled over 10,000 miles and I picked it up for $3,500 last March.
its got a lot of aftermarket goodies on it. I don't hold on to vehicles of any kind for very long but I'll probably keep this one for a while.
