I have one of these but I'm too tired to read that and understand it.

I just came here to post this. Mine is at home on the night stand. Hope it's good because I am going to TN next week and all my other arty options are double stacks that aren't great with t shirts and shorts.

Also to clarify for the reading challenged its NOT a full blown recall recall. It only applies to a firearm which ha the problem. Nothing preventative at this point although I am now wondering if this is still a good carry option.

You can bet if it wasn't a "recall," S&W wouldn't CALL it a recall. It is a recall for firearms with the problem being described. Don't try to sugar coat it.

1. Load firearm
2. Board a bus full of nuns
3. Drop gun repetitively
4. Rebel was right everyone dies don't sugar coat it

P.S smith cleverly didn't call it a recall you are one of those with trouble reading. Prove to me from SIMTH'S website where they say recall. Reading for detail is a lost art.

The notice I received from Smith and Wesson today in my work email sure said the word quite a few times.

Quote:
Definition of 'Product Recall'

The process of retrieving defective goods from consumers and providing those consumers with compensation. Recalls often occur as a result of safety concerns over a manufacturing defect in a product that may harm its user, or others.
Hmm.. Yeah, I see no correlation at all between "Recall" and "Safety Notice - please return your product if it is effected."

Big difference. Recall means 'All' products manufactured during the described time period are to be returned for inspection and repair.

They are asking the owner to inspect, and return if a certain condition exists.

May seem like nit-picking, but I'm betting it is a huge difference liability-wise by NOT doing a full recall.
