The article I saw said that it was a V8. I'll see if I can find it again. I didn't really pay much attention since I give -12 fucks about the ugly piece of shit Nissan calls the Titan.

5.0L I6 cummins that was originally intended for the Ram 1500 back in 2006. This motor was supposed to go in production in 2010 but due to the economy slow down this engine was cancelled from the line up in the ram. Im not a Titan fan but im excited to see what this engine will do in a Titan. I think it will net great fuel economy and tow excellent.

Cool idea if a 4bt but not so much if its a v8. It still has to be better than the new 1500s.

Cummins builds engines.

Nissan needs an engine.

Nissan buys engine from Cummins.

Doesn't sound like a partnership any more than buying a Big Mac makes you a partner with McDonald's.

Yeah, because the average person who is willing(and able) to plunk down $40-60k on a new pick up truck wants it to sounds like a 20 year old bread truck?

Yes, because an old 100hp 3.9 liter 4 cyl is much better than a 300+hp/550ft lb V8 diesel....

Well I only worry because we all know how awesome the other newer v8s diesels do. I guess my 3/4 ton truck seems to be doing pretty good seeing is it only has 60ish more hp.. Seems like with some new technology a 4bt has some potential.

Fuck, some of you are not very good at reading. The press release clearly states V8 configuration, 500+ ft-lb. Too bad the truck is ugly as sin

Please change your avatar. I happen to like that show, but you're associating it with somebody who doesn't even know the difference between seen and saw and that's ruining it for me.

I was just thinking the same thing. Cummins builds a great engine no doubt, but they keep getting stuffed in trucks that suck. I am curious to know what transmission they will put behind it. If nissan is smart they will use the allison 1000.
