Default Trail Camera Pictures....Anything Good

I love going out and getting the card from my cameras. It's like Xmas, sometimes you get something kick ass, other times you get....goats??

These pics are from 25 yards in front of one of my stands.

I have the 10 point dozens of times, all but 2 pictures are at night.

The goats on the other hand...got a few pics for the first time this week. Apparently the person on the property next door had them and decided it best to let them loose last winter instead of feeding them. BTW, there are no other homes within 2-3 miles of this property, there are just a few hunting cabins.
Maybe I will tag out this year and get a nice wall mount.....of a goat.

Yup, same here. I set up a camera on my property this past August. The very first pic was of a 6 point. Unfortunately he never came back. Since then we have gotten a couple hundred pics. One other small buck and lots of does. Also squirrels and raccoon. Once of a fox. I have gotten multiple pics of something that I can't identify. The camera is set up as a 3 shot burst with 5 minutes between. Usually you can see the progression/movement during the burst of pics. However, this critter is always only in the first pic and is a blur. So, it must be sensitive to the camera enough that even the slight noise it makes is enough to send it scurrying. It looks about the size of a porcupine but I have a hard time believing these slow animals would react that way.

My brother in law has a pic of a kitty cat that is about the size of a medium bobcat with a long tail.

hahahah....... naw, I don't think it's anything special. I've pretty much narrowed it down to a porcupine but damn, I can't get a good pic.

Actually it is a pretty cheap bushnell model. I bought one of the first bushnell models a few years back and had good luck, I think this one ran $149 or $159, it does take pretty nice pics.

I have 3 "shooters" so far, this one and 2 8 pts. We have stopped shooting bucks unless they have 4 on one side. The result within 2 years were amazing, since then, we have shot: 18 spread 9 pt, 16 spread 8pt, a tall 16 spread 6pt (1st year thought it was an 8), 2 14 spread 8 pts. This was all done in 6 years, with 2 years of no bucks.
We have also only shot 2 does in that stretch, not because we wont shoot them, but for 20 years this property was "brown its down"....and we killed everything, and I mean everything. Now we try to shoot more mature, larger deer, with lots more meat for the table than the 100 lb yearlings.

This is a cool video. I can't say if they are right or wrong. It's cool info and setting to think about.

Also remember they are still in summer patterns the pics you get now might be bucks that won't be around come October/November. Some overlap other do not.
