Love our two springers.....remember very well when we had to do the same 5 years ago to our 10 year old. We waited a year to find a new puppy...He has turned out to be an exception friend. Be Well.

I read that you should let your other dog smell the one that died.I did learn that Eli was to young to understand, this. He was unconcerned with Murphy's body. I had Eli with me away from home the rest of day. When we got into the yard tonight he ran and searched for Murphy. Then tore into the house and searched. Ran back outside and started jumping on the pole barn entry door. Eli doesn't like the pole barn. I opened the door and he searched it to. Been playing with him to help us both sleep. Well we will try.

Sorry for your loss. Springers are my favorite I miss all of ours.
