Default //421 SBC (400 stroked) for sale - turn key\\

Engine was in my 73' Camaro for a short time, probably has around 4,000 street miles on it and no more than 5 passes at the strip.

Long story short, had the complete car for sale and a fella made me an offer i couldn't refuse on the rolling chassis. (apparently he had a pretty hot turbo 5.3 sitting around).

So here i am with a engine and trans and nothing to put it in.

400 small block 2 bolt main

Scat stroker rotating assembly

Forged crank
3.875 stroke
H beam rods
Flat top pistons
11.5 compression

Pro comp aluminum heads
1.6 roller rockers
Victor Jr. intake
Holley 780 carb
Electric water pump
Custom alternator bracket (sits where power steering would normally be)

Basically stock distributor, had a pro billet but wasnt vac advance so it was not very fuel friendly.

TH350 trans, also has 4k on it, short shaft, all tci internals 10" converter 2500 stall

put down 11.80's in the quarter in a full interior, caged 73 Camaro

this engine is very durable and has TONS of torque. part of me wants to build a sand toy and drop it in, but at the same time im getting relatively big into Cummins diesels and probably should finish my projects before taking on another.

asking $3100 for everything

might trade for a motorcycle or Cummins performance related, looking for another 47rh trans with transfercase , zf6 /nv5600 with transfercase as partial trade

i have pictures on my cell phone, having a hard time getting them to post on here but can text if you pm me your number

Would you consider selling just the engine? I'm considering something like this for a drag boat. How high would you say is safe to rev the engine to? Estimated HP & torque? What octane did you run through it... 98? Thanks.

I wouldn't push it past 7k feels best low end , but that's just me. I've never had it dyno'd but I would be very confident it's in the 450-500hp range. It does have forged pistons, so you could spray it.

Did some more research on running something like this in my application... sounds like aluminum heads are not a good idea to use with cold water cooling. Good luck with the sale!
