Default Hot air balloon rides

Does anyone on here own or work for a company that does hot air balloon rides? Even a good recommendation will do.

There are always balloons going over around Kensington metro park...think the companies are out of howell and Brighton. No other info except I know a few ppl who have gone out of howell and said it was great...

Yeah, it was pretty cool. We were over Mt Holly and we could see the Detroit skyline plain as day. The biggest bummer of a balloon ride is they are always too short.

What I can recommend:
Whoever you pick, when the balloon is inflating, walk around a bit and see if you can find holes/tears in the envelope (Actual Balloon) part.- Do the same thing once it is inflated before you climb in the basket. Patches are OK, but NO holes anywhere. Not a single hole.

The pilot must have a commercial rating in order to carry paying passengers.

I think you will find most hot air balloon companies around the Oakland/Genesee counties have good reputations. Have fun. It is a cool thing to do!!!

Yeah, they can only fly at sunrise and about an hour before dark. Too many thermals that can go in the envelope and shoot the balloon up to 12,000+ feet and beyond. You have to have supplemental oxygen on board if the altitude is more than 11,000-12,000 feet.
