Potential front driveshaft vibrations as it will now be spinning all the time 2x or 4x. So if it's like my yj with a saggy shaft you will need a new one.

I deleted mine on my 99. And never had vib problem. Only down side was 1 mph drop. My front shaft did need to be rebuilt once not sure it was just age or that it was spinning all the time.

I actually just slid the collar over and welded splines in few spots so it couldn't slid over but then you could still remove the shaft

Chrysler quit doing the CAD in 2002 because of the bearing and seal problems where the inner cad axle rides. If you front shaft is vibrating, then you need to fix it. Driving it down the road in 2wd isenst that bad on stuff unless its REALLY vibrating. Now when its in 4wd and the front shaft is under a load and vibrating at the same time, thats when pinion bearings and your t-case output go to shit. I hate the CAD axles!

Best bet is to replace the vacuum setup on the cad with a cable pull design. Unless you get a free spin kit or have a dana 60 from that you can convert to lockable hubs your not going to want to completely get rid of the cad.

x2 my 01 didn't eather. front shaft got rebuilt at 215k but it had a lot to do with the lift and no transfercase clocking. The hub kit was the only thing I wish it had as well but the CAD being locked all the time should bother you at all.
