Default 1980 Beaver $999

I have a 1980 Ford Econoline Cab, Class C Motorhome. The Brand is EV-Rest, Tiffen Allegro, and is made by Beaver (or something like that). It is in rough shape from sitting in the woods for 7 years, and would need tires to be road worthy. I had it running early last year, but have yet to get it running this year. Engine is a 460, and the Trans is a C6 (I believe). I am not sure what the third member is, but it does have duals on the back (of course). It has 66,000 Miles.

RV is in Fairview, MI. Asking Price is $999

I am going up there this weekend, so a timely reply (next 22 hours) could seal up this deal in a hurry for cheaper (and, I could even pull it to the main road for you on Sunday) as it would be nice to see it go before the roof caves in due to snow.

Buy this Beaver and show it to your friends...

As an aside, I found a scrap yard in St. Helen that offered to take it whole, and one in Mio that offered to take it gutted. Does anyone know of a yard that would take it whole that is closer to Fairview, Mio, or Lewiston area?

Orange Shag Carpeting up Front...

Heat still works (I hope, I'll find out tonight).

The Roof over the bunk over the Cab is where it is worst. I tried sealing everything up again, but it still leaks a little. Structurally I really doubt it will hang thru the winter with the snow load regardless of leaks, so that front roof portion would need to be rebuilt.

If someone comes to get it this Sunday (chances are good this will be the last weekend possible due to snow), I'll let it go for $600, and I'll tow it to the main road for you. You'll need a large trailer or flat bed (maybe it would make it on a heavy duty dolly) to get it home. You'll need to PM me in the next 2 hours to make this happen.

FYI, the rear sump oil pan, tucked in exhaust manifolds, and most likely York Compressor setup from that motor is worth big $ to guys swapping into 78-79 fords.

Default Few More Pics

It would be a cool flatbed rig. Friends try to talk me into turning it in to just about everything other than an RV. (460 Powered Generator, Portable Sawmill or Log-Splitter to name a few)

I am certain this will be last weekend I sleep in it (if I even sleep in it). Whether or not I look at for 10 more years before doing something with it is up to you guys!

Route 55, thanks for the info. I can't verify the rear sump or tucked in manifold, but the York must be true as I have never seen something so industrial hanging off the front of an engine. I'll take a closer look and maybe take some pictures of these things this weekend.

No prob! 460 van manifolds are the only ones that will work in a 78-79 ford 4x4 without cutting the frame. Same goes for the pan, which is the only way to go in same truck without lifting it. I had the exact motor setup, complete with mounts, and it sold for $650 on ebay. Considering its hard to get $250 for a stock 460, I didn't think that was too bad. It basically is a packaged swap that easily directly replaces any 351 or 400 M motor.

Roof didn't leak (or is frozen!) in the last month which is good news. I suppose it has a chance to make it through Winter....It is likely that I will try to sell it again in the future, or maybe it will become a parting/scrapping project late next summer. There are only a couple inches of snow there now, so any chance of it going this year would have to happen soon. Thanks for looking.

I still have this. It actually is holding up decently for how trashed it is, and it came in handy quite a bit last year and even this year. (The fridge still keeps beer Ice Cold.)

How about $850?

I'll have to think about that...I'm inclined to scrap it as I could use a couple things off it. If you're interested in it to recondition it into a working RV, I can't go to go $600 yet. But, if you're mostly interested in the Chassis, and will be tossing all the RV Stuff anyways, the rest is yours for the $600 after I pull some of the RV Stuff.

I've been using a 1973 Beaver up to 3 weeks a month for the last 22 years. Sure, the body is starting to fall apart and it may need a rebore soon but I sure have enjoyed it.
