Default 1997 2wd 4.0l xj with excellent body.Pics up sold

1997 Jeep cherokee 2wd 4dr 4.0l auto.
Great starter jeep for a build body is great.

Bad trans.

Supposed to be rebuilt motor, and motor has definitely been swapped and does appear fresh. Did need cps put in which we did and it fired right up with no noises, smoking or leaks. It did have exhuast manifold leak, I assume its cracked like normal or the donut is bad.

Floors are perfect, spot of surface rust on drivers rocker passenger side looks great.

Everything seems to work other then trans.

Manual windows and locks. Has tilt, cruise, power mirrors and unknown condition a/c.

Asking $1600 obo may trade also will get pics up later tonight.

edit. I forgot to mention does have headliner sag and some chips in hood and roof right side. Took pics that show it.

So took 2wd trans out last night and it looked real clean and had a new torque convertor in it. Did some research and talked to garage in kzoo that had been working on it. They said motor and trans were rebuilt and new convertor were put in, month later cps went out, they replaced it again. Came back again and they figured out that the threads is the holes to attach trans to motor were all stripped out, that's when my buddy bought it.

So with a little work running thru bolts or helicoils drivetrain should be all good.
