Damn. If I lost one of my children I wouldn't react in that manner. Sad all the way around.

he sound greedy. He admits that he doesn't need the money, but gets upset that he has to give some of it so people how might need it.

The guy repaying with coins was both right and wrong. Returning the money was the right thing to do so that the injured victims can pay for care. I understand his sadness and irritation in even having to deal with money. He did get compensated the 1.6 in his wrongful death lawsuit.

I would be pretty upset at the socialist justice served by the court if I was in the doctor's shoes. Just because he insured his son elsewhere, does not mean majority of the money from auto insurance should go to someone with a broken knee, when he lost his son. That's just bs.

Kudos to the doc.

When you put it that way I tend to agree. His son died in a wreck that was not his fault. So he gets a wrongful death settlement out of the deal which is standard operating procedure in a case like that. It's up to the people that survived the crash to go after the guy that hit them and his ins. So when I look at how the court system handled it, in the end it was very socialist of them. Regardless if the guy was a doctor or worked fast food he followed sop.

He should've in all coins make it a four day process quarters all the way down to pennies.

I agree with this. He lost his son. That is much worse than an injury.

My point is if I lost a kid I wouldn't give a fukc about getting or returning money. That doctor is a douche.

Except when looked at in a cold financial way. The dead son is not costing him any money. Depending on the injury it could lead to a lifetime of expenses.

The fact that he collected $1.65 million has nothing to do with this. This is about him collecting at least $500,000 of the $800,000 for losing a son, leaving the 3 other with at most $300,000 to split between them to compensate them for their injuries, and then being an ass about paying it back.

The others in the accident are still living and breathing, let them count the quarters and get on with their lives. His son is unable to do that. It's pretty low to sue the father of a dead child.
