How can they justify charging that much for a freaking glorified quad.

Keep in mind I know nothing about quads

Just like everything else. People are willing to pay for it.

How can Chrysler charge what they do for rubicons? How can GM charge what they do for a ZL1? How can ford charge what they do for GT500's?

I don't understand why people spend money the way they do unless it is the same thing I have interest in.

You guys are saying you can build a jeep for that an yada yada. Some people don't want jeeps or can't build them. I have an xj but it does nothing for me. I enjoy a Rzr. I always laugh when people say what something is or isn't worth. If its not your cup of tea it isn't, that doesn't make something worth or not worth said price.

Offshore boats are a good example. Typically people who "would never pay that" fall in one of two category's

1. They have dreams of owning said toy or something similar, but can't offord to play.

2. Don't have interest in said toy, and have no business placing a price on the object.

I sort of agree, and I have owned an off shore boat.....

But I still feel the RZR is highly over priced at $25k.

I feel like you could find a custom builder to make you a more capable and better vehicle for that price or less.

I'm not talking about a jeep on 35's, I'm taling about some sort of tube chassis "buggy" style vehicle like a rzr that could be faster and more capable.

I could be wrong, but I think you could do this.

That said, I know I would STILL have a flippin blast in the new rzr.

I can't comment on what it would cost to have someone build a true sxs type buggy from the ground up, equal to or better performance than a stock Rzr.

What I will comment on it I haven't seen many if any 20k rigs that can pound whoops at 50+, crawl as good as any thing in its class (be realistic the Rzr isn't on 35's so it won't compete in that class), and still have really good street manners at 55 to cruise to get ice cream or down the road to the trail head ect.

I am not defending a Rzr. It's my choice of off road rigs currently because I like it. I will at some point change styles I assume, maybe not who knows. It's fits what I want to do and the buyer is who sets the price. Obviously they are onto something or the R&D budget would be going to a different market.

At the end of the day I thank god that there are so many who can't afford them or don't want one. If the demand was higher image what the price could be.

I don't disagree, I want one, I'm just not willing/able to spend the money on one right now. More so I can't justify it with how often I would or would not get to use it.

I think I'd rather have a tube chassis with a liter crotch rocket motor.
