Default Doubletapô tactical pocket pistol

So my brother just picked on of these up. He couldn't test shoot it before he bought it, so he got it, and brought it over. If you're unfamilar with it, here is a link to their website.

DOUBLETAP™ TACTICAL POCKET PISTOL
NOW SHIPPING
ST. LOUIS, MO (May 2013) - DoubleTap™ Defense is officially shipping the DoubleTap™ Tactical Pocket Pistol (design
and utility patents pending) to their distributors. Azimuth Technologies, the manufacturers of the DoubleTap™ pistol,
are ramping up production to fill all outstanding orders as quickly as possible. DoubleTap™ Defense Stocking Dealers
(with qualified orders) are receiving their free promotional package for their stores.
“The DoubleTap™ Tactical Pocket Pistol has undergone significant improvements since we moved the project to our
new manufacturer; making the DoubleTap™ a more reliable, simpler and less-parts-to-go-wrong type of concealed
carry,” Raymond B. Kohout, DoubleTap™ inventor stated. “We have production capacity to quickly fill all orders and
many anxious customers to appease, but we are certain, beyond a doubt, that this newest version is of higher quality
and extremely reliable.”
Significant improvements to the DoubleTap™ include:
 Interchangeable barrels (9mm and .45ACP) using a M16 style
push pin that is now ambidextrous
 Enhanced pistol grip with new “FRAG” pattern inspired by
the fragmentation grenade
 Improved, easier to use thumb-latch
 Patent pending trigger system simplified to only four major
components and featuring dual hammers for extra reliability
 Double-action, sequentially fired mechanical trigger system
has double-strike capability
 Ported barrels available for both the 9mm and .45 ACP to
reduce recoil and muzzle flip
The DoubleTap™ Aluminum non-ported model has an MSRP of $499.00. The Aluminum ported model’s MSRP is
$569.00. The MSRP for the DoubleTap™ Titanium non-ported model is $729.00 and the ported model is $799.00.
Caliber conversion kits in the non-ported version have been lowered to $199.00 and the ported kits lowered to
$269.00. DoubleTap™ Defense also sells a variety of accessories to complement the DoubleTap™ Tactical Pocket
pistol.

Here is him and my dad shooting it.

I saw one of these the other day at Gander Mountain for $499 (I know their prices are high). I asked to see it so he got it out of the case for me. I personally couldn't think of a good reason to buy one. There are so many other (in my opinion better) options out there.

So are you going to give an opinion on it or just post videos of people shooting a tiny handgun?

Well, it does exactly as advertised. Fits in your pocket easily, and goes bang. There is Zero accuracy with it, shooting it more than 2 twice is barely an option. It's designed as a last resort BUG, for pointblank shooting.

The one in the video is a .45. As you can see it HURTS to shoot, an only has 2 rounds. My brother thinks it's cool, I think it's worthless.

Your assessment is correct. It's worthless. Just a gimmick.

Held one at the local fun shop a couple weeks ago. Its not really any smaller than my XDs 9mm, but it only holds 2 rounds.

Its a turd.

I looked at one.
Its vary over priced. Should be like $175 for the base gun.
At that price I might have bout one. But for $500 there way to many much better options for BUG.

Didn't know your brother was Marcus over on MGO.

Video looks familiar....

I thought they were smaller until I saw one in person. I'd much rather take the XDS .45 I just picked up over that overpriced melee weapon.

by the looks of it, i thought it was gonna fire both shells at the same time.
i thought that would be interesting to watch.

todays new guns just dont impress me. they all look really ugly.

im sure they are good weapons, just not my style.

this as useful as a derringer.

il will take a model 29 snub nose, or even an officers acp.

It's called double tap, because they charge twice what it's worth!
