Whats next?

Here is what I have so far. I think the rear is good to go other then getting a drive shaft made up. Take a look at the front and tell me what you think as far as my pinion angle. Do i just need a 4* shim on my perch?




What information am I going to need for getting drive shafts made up, say from tom woods or the like.

when tom woods made my rear shaft, they asked me all the measurements you have up there, what type of suspension you're running, and what u-joints you want.

they will tell you if it won't work, suggest a tube diameter and a spline type.

they're very informative and i'd highly recommend giving them a call.


looking at you pictures again, they will want the distance between the faces of your yokes, not the bottom of the u joint surface.

Sounds good. I will get that information. Anything else I should know or have ready? What can I expect to pay for a pair of drive shafts?

You have a good measurement of the length at ride height. I would say the more important numbers you would need would be the length at full droop and sitting on the bump stops. This will probably be a determining factor in the price to see if you need a long travel spline setup.

As far as the rear goes the angles should be the same (non cv application) But the front looks very close if you plan on running a cv style shaft (you basically want the the axle yoke pointed at the case yoke.
