Default '71 Oldsmobile Cutlass "S" Coupe 350/350

I'm looking to move in the next few months so I'm reluctantly selling my '71 Cutlass to fund the move. I've had this car for five years (maybe six) and it was supposed to be my wife and I's project car. (she's into cars too ;) )

The car originally was in Arizona and in Michigan for two years before I bought it. The entire roof was replaced before the previous owners purchased the car. (Must have had a vinyl top)

It's an original 350/350 Gold block Olds with factory Air conditioning. Mechanically the car is in fantastic condition and ran very strong when I parked it 2 years ago. I converted it from Points to HEI, put in new Heddman headers and new accel plugs/wires, cap, rotor and coil. Unfortunately the HEI distributor I used came from a spare 455 I had and I couldn't get the car to fire, only turn over. So i assume there is something wrong with the distributor. Interior is complete (blue) with all panels and trim for dash and doors. Seats are in good condition except for some tearing in the driver's side of the split front bench. I have extra parts for this car as well that will be included upon sale. Tires are also good with lots of tread.

The original Brake booster diaphram was bad so I purchased a new one as well. I am going to put the booster on in the next few days and convert it back to the points distributor and see if I can get it to fire back up so you can hear it run.

I'm asking $3,000 OBO

I'm reasonable and flexible on price. I'm not parting it out and I'm not looking for trades, I need money to fund a move.

Car is located in Clarksville, MI if you'd like to come take a look.

I know that this is a 4x4 forum, but I figured it couldn't' hurt to post it anyway.

I have a ton of pictures of the car, however these current ones show it rather dirty and I plan on washing it thoroughly before anyone comes to see it.

The body on the car is pretty solid, but it does need work in a few places.

The entire trunk floor needs to be replaced, however there frame and all floor mounts are good. The inner fenders and seat backs/floor are good.

The floor pans need to be replaced from the base of the firewall at the first bend to the front of the rear seats, but the rocker panels are solid, so they will give you good sheet metal to drop new pans in.

Doors need some love on the bottom edge, but I think they are salvageable.

Front fenders can use some minor patching, but are easily saveable. Hood is decent as well with no major dents that I remember.

Rear quarters are a bit rusty behind the wheel well and just barely around the arch, so two small panels will clean it up, whole quarters aren't necessary, but are at discretion of the buyer.

Got the new brake booster installed yesterday. Working on getting it power washed and fired up this week.

I have six original cutlass steel wheels that go with this car, with a box of chrome trim parts for a full set. Plus one steel spare that came from an 80's cutlass. (same style, different size I think)

Username not included.

I'm moving out of state and the car is being stored at my father in law's house from now until I sell it or I can come across the country to drive it back there.

This thread will probably be lost in the masses of 4x4 truck sales, but if you know anyone who wants a decent 42 year old muscle car, I'm very workable on price for this. I want to see it get restored, not crushed or rot into the ground in my father in law's yard.

I probably won't update this thread again for quite some time.

Thank you.
