I might meet you.

No dumb questions if you care. Both. Not everyone has to speak a long winded speech. In fact, sometimes less is better. But to raise your hand and simply say "I drove xxx miles tonight because this is really important to me and my family" can do wonders. Or simply clap when appropriate. You are not there to discuss "how" this should be done. You are there to support that it "should" be done. Dress well, be polite and represent your sport with pride.

If I wasn't working tonight I would be out. I will plan ahead for the August meeting if needed.

This I can do . If I get out of work in time I wouldn't mind meeting some of you at the pub (does anyone know the address?) for a . If I get out late I'll just be at the meeting.

x2 If I was down there no problem. I did however forward the information to a few friends down that way.

We had a good turnout - probably a dozen respectful wheelers in attendance. Some of the local residents were VERY unhappy about the whole thing, NIMBY.

As usual though, there were some unhappy local folks, but in general it went well.

It was good, I suspect we did well on this round. HOWEVER, we really need resident Oxford members to show up. There was a loud argument that the only people who wanted it were all non residents. It would be helpful if next time local pro wheelers attend.

Remind them not to go to the UP, Vegas, etc. Those places don't benefit from their tourism money either.

It was hard to tell mostly it sounded like they didn't want to hear the noise. But a lot of them did not have a reason they just were against it.

I'm an Oxford resident and I really hope this happens. I screwed up and missed the meeting. I have a few buddies that are Oxford residents and either have four wheelers, Jeeps, or both. I'll drag them with me to the next meeting. Thanks to those who fought M24 traffic to get up here. This is a golden opportunity for the village, the township, and all of us living in and around the Detroit metro.

The residents are not oppossed to having a "recreation park" but they don't want any ORV's allowed. They just want it to be a dog, horse, hiking, water sports park. Their main complaint is the fear the ORV"s will be to loud.
