The pub is a good place to get quick attention but it also carries a lot of banter. Now that you have gotten the attention of a new place to wheel, I suggest you post it up in the trialride forums AND the land use forum.

Thank you for the info vr and rhino! And I don't get butthurt, especially in a blog lol. That stuff is for kids am I right?

Anyways I would consider doing the park myself but I have no idea where to start, which is why I'm looking for someone who already owns or operates one to become my partner.

I know a lot about off roading but not so much how to run a 1000 acre park! Plus I already own and operate a couple local businesses so I don't have the time required to dedicate to something like this.

Go up to Rocks and Valleys and talk to Ron. Check out his park to get an idea.

Keep it simple and only open it on Fri, Sat, and Sun.

There used to be a thread about this, something along the lines of what would we expect in an offroad park, but I believe the thread is closed/locked. Might still be able to view it though.

I don't know if Ron would. That's quite a drive from Harrison and I think he is pretty committed to Rock and Valleys. You never know though. If Ron were to take it over, it would be a kickass park. There's just a lot of money that is involved with such a task.

Talk to the guys that run Bundy Hill Offroad. They are in the Jerome area (off or around US-12) and have turned an old gravel pit into a wheeling park. I am not sure if they are part of the forum.

Do not know of any close clubs, there are a ton of us wheelers around the area. My wife and i have wheeled out there when it was open. last I heard the township was wanting to turn that land into a dump. I hope that does not happen. Father in-law is on the Maybee Board that is were I heard that.

Would like to see it open as a park like Rocks and Valleys. A lot closer to home.

Keep us uptodate on what is going on.

If you try and set it up your self as a park, I think you could get a few of us in the area to come out and help.

Searching through old threads and happened across this one. Did anything ever become of it? Always looking for new places to play and not drive a thousand miles away.
