But you gotta show me some awesomness, I had never heard of the Carolina reaper so I looked, I can't find any reference to it being the hottest pepper unless I search that name alone. Guinness still has the Trinidad scorpion butch T listed as record holder on their site at 1.4m SHU from 2011. http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/...hottest-chili#

I read about the Moruga Scorpion on a number of different sites being above 2 million SHU
Just because they have had a pepper that has rated that high doesn't mean that it qualifys. A pepper strain has to grow a full 8 seasons and they mix a lot of peppers together to get an average. The the hp22b aka carolina reaper just finished the 8 required seasons to prove they are a stable strain and they tested as the hottest. This was the first season that the seeds were offered. I am excited to try them!

Peppers can cross breed from plants a mile away. You won't know it by eating the peppers but if you plant the seeds the next season they can be mutants. For the 8 seasons they grow they have to have a consistent look, taste and ass burning ability.

I understand what you are saying, but you said this was the hottest pepper in the world. I half ass follow info in hot peppers and had never heard of it, so I looked. I still, even using Guinness can not find where it qualifies either. I'm not trying to take away from your hot pepper awesomness as you a far past where I will ever be in the field. I was just trying to get more info on what you had said and could not find it.
Good luck with your harvest and PLEASE post a video of you trying your peppers!!
I like spicy foods but, you get past the habonero I call it quits!

Hot pink 550 para cord seems to work for keeping the damn dogs out of them. If I didn't have anything across there my golden retriever would be laying on them like a bed it is pretty white trash but I'm only here for a summer so I'm not getting too fancy.

Lately i'm trying to become better at shooting. I'm still a newbie in the hobby so working on aiming and holding steady are my main issues. With my 30-06 rifle and a not so fancy scope i can at least hit the targets within a 6" group at 80 yards. I would like to get that down to 3" or better over time. That is free standing not on a bench with a rest.
