I seen this the other day. My stance has always been that the police were provoked to arrest the man for hindering their efforts to end the standoff with the individual in the house. All the bullshit circulating the internet about how the this guy was arrested for taking video of the police are all in an effort to defame police in general. If that accusation were true, why weren't the all the other people lined up and arrested for recording the police activities? The fact remains that the man arrested was antagonizing the police, obstructing their operations, and compromising the safety of the officers and others around him. He brought his "ghetto dog" in an effort to appear intimidating. When the shit hit the fan, I feel the officers made an effort to not harm the dog but when it lunged at the one, doggy got shut down. I feel shooting the dog was a last course of action and was done simply in the interest of safety, not as a retaliation for the owners behavior.

Prior to this he'd been arrested alot and was suing the police including officers on the scene.

how about not be a dumbass and make sure the windows are rolled up first?
why not have animal control on the scene before they arrest the guy?

the dog gave tons of warning that it was nervous/angry and they did nothing about it until they decided to shoot it.

poor training imo

There is a ton of things out there that "could have been done"

Fact of the matter is, if the Dbag owner wasnt being a pile of shit his dog would be alive right now. If I was the police officer and a dog jumps at me and I know he is angry, I am going to put him down. Its my safety vs the dogs.

Just sucks that it had to end this way
