Default 1986 Chevy M1008 6.2 diesel 4x4 military pickup

This truck has a 6.2 diesel with 77K miles, has dana 60 front with lock outs, rear is a 14 bolt full floater, both have 4:56 gears and the rear has a detroit locker. Turbo 400 trans with a NP208 t-case, new rear drive shaft. I have done more work to this truck and it actually runs very good. Doesn't start as well in the cold weather, so I put a coolant heater which really helps. I suspect some/most of the glow plugs need replacing. Just yesterday took it on a 140 mile round trip, ran great. Body is ok some minor rust and dents. Needs better tires. Call 616-886-1869, I don't get oneline much

Mechanically this truck seems great!

This will make a good work truck or donar for a buggy build or similar.

asking $2,400.00, willing to trade up for a newer gm 4x4, i can add cash

would consider partsing out for the right amount $$

Range Control down at Fort Hood uses these for almost everything they have to do. I have seen these things go through some absolutely insane stuff and they just will NOT die. Great trucks.

GLWTS.

With new glow plugs, I bet it will start up great... even without being plugged in.

Both my did.

Good luck... I miss my old trucks.

x2. It's nice enough to preserve in an at least stock-ish form. (a 6.5TD and it'd be about perfect)

I'd rather not cut it ...... Someone needs a good heavy duty truck? Will trade for a power-glide with aftermarket case and internals or a set of 43 SX swampers, or a Toyota truck or samurai

As much as I love these trucks...

Saying this is a piece of history and it must be preserved is the equivalent of saying the porta-johns at NTC are pieces of history and deserve the same.
