My 231k mile 4.0L purrs like a kitten. I'll trade you straight up for that clapped out POS 6.0L of yours. It's already pulled out and ready to go. I'll even buy the beer and help you pull the 6.0L. You're welcome.

Flexplate....I was ready to swap motors on a 4.3L S-10 until I unbolted the converter and the flexplate dropped down an inch...broken all the way around the center, but was still starting and driving.

Flexplate? Never heard of this thing, I cant be made of metal because, metal never breaks, and never ever flexes....

I didn't notice any significant oil usage in the driving I did with it, but I didn't drive it much before teardown. A few trips to work, around town, and to Bundy. It's going back into use when I finish the rig, so we'll see how bad it is. It'll get torn down for a stroker eventually, but not yet.

unbolted the torque converter. inspected flex plate as best I could. I see nothing wrong. ohhh sooo sad
