Default Rear axle ratio recommendation for 2012 Silverado

Hello all,
I have a 2012 Silverado 2wd with the 4.8L V8 engine and 4 spd trans. It came factory with 3.23 gears. I'm looking for a little more power on take off and for towing. I was thinking of changing the rear gears with 3.73. I did read online that 4.10 was common but that sounds a bit steep. I drive a mix of city and highway. Its a daily driver with occasional towing. I currently get about 21 mpg with a mix of driving and I'm not sure how much that is going to be affected with the gear change. The dealer knocked 20k off of the sticker price since it was still on the lot brand new which swayed me from the 5.3L 6 spd which was much higher in price.

Go up to 3.73. It will be a big difference and won't affect your fuel mileage as much as 4.10 would. it might go down to 18 mpg or so if you're just cruising.
