Default moving back home

WELL! after a long 12 years I am finally moving back home.

after my stint in the military and trying to battle this unbearable heat, and terrible hunting, and killer bees and rattle snakes etc... I am moving back to michigan.

in 12 days the wife my son and our 4 dogs and I will be headed back to michigan FOR GOOD! (other than visiting my parents who will be stuck in texas for another year or to)...

I have some happy sad stuff going on right now. my parents are down here in texas (moved down before I got out of the military). So I stayed to be around them. Now that I have a son... I WILL NOT raise my son here. period. I am a momma's boy, and my dad is my best freind. we drink beer on a every other night bases and BS about our customers and stuff. SO, I am sad to be leaving them. BUT, I am excited to be back in michigan!!! (as is my wife since her family is in northern illinois). although my parents have told me they will likely be moving back in a year or two there is still some emotions I cant shake. but I need to quit being a girl and man up, I know.

we will be living in milan for the immediate future and will probably be in the milan/tecumseh/saline/bridgwater area when we buy our own place. (thats where the rest of my family is spread between).

Look forward to meeting some of you guys when we get up there. I hope it hasnt changed to much.

BTW: I went to milan schools until 7th grade. then we moved up to houghton lake michigan where I graduated from. we have property in the soo, and in manistique (on lake michigan). Yes, shore front...

thanks.

I was a 3c0x1 in the air force (computer systems specialist) or COMM guy. I was attached to a combat comm unit that was attached to an intel squadron.

for the initial employment up there I will be using my GI BILL to finish out my degree's and also help pay for the roof over our head, and I will then be contracting for a satellite installer.

I am a 10 year IT vet working on finishing my associates, and then bachelors... If anyone knows anyone hiring I would much rather go be an IT guy than a satellite tech.

thanks for the welcomes...

and EASY... your welcome. although I was lucky enough to get out sane for the most part and in one piece unlike some of my fellow soldiers who were not so lucky. I have some buddies with PTSD and bullet wounds and blast wounds who will never be the same.

Welcome back. I live between Milan and 275 off Oakville waltz rd. We could meet up and do some wheeling in my back yard. Thanks for the service.

Ditto. We all lose track of how much a person gives up to serve our country.

6 more days and we will be headed that way.

I have my nervous moments, and my emotional moments, but right now ALL my family is in town visiting and that has helped. (rekindled those old relationships), and my cousin who lives in florida (grew up with, her and her mom lived with us on and off) found out I am moving back and now her and her husband (who I am good freinds with) is gonna move back to!

pretty excited about that. Just hoping my mom gets her stuff together and realizes how much she misses it up there!!!

Anyway. I pick up the moving truck saturday morning! gonna get the boat and quads loaded up and ready to go today...
