lookin for a high perf. dist. jacob,msd,davis ect.( jeep 258/4.2)every one going v-8. some one has this old stuff layin around?????? let me know pm is best

Upgrade to GM HEI distributor. Do a quick google search for some good write-ups.

^^ I did the gm hei swap a few years ago and it ran so much better then stock it was crazy.

The hard part is finding a non computor controlled inline 6cyl hei that hasnt been made since 1975. I would check on a new dist from napa for a 1975 nova 6cyl .

Just go on e-bay and buy an HEI one. They are there all over the place and sell for well under a $100. Some as cheap as $50 Here are 3 that I found right away.

i know about the gm style.lookin to up grade from there...like msd or davis ect. ive herd they will out perform the cookie cutter b-bay style. thats y i posted figured sopme one had one layin around and might want to make some cash but thanks for the input

I have a Mallory Unilite with vacuum advance. It was installed in an engine but the engine was never started. $200.

Be carefull what brand you buy. I have seen 2 proform chinese pos distributers seize up and one exploded in my camaro at 6000 rpms. These were for small block chevys but they look just like a msd.
