Default Headphones ??? Why so many? !#$%^&*%!@#

I want to buy a set of headphones. Over the ear or around the ear style (not in the ear), probably noise canceling, $150-ish or under. There are only 98249 choices in headphones out there. I know there are some audio geeks on here, lets hear you opinions on what I sould buy. The winner gets first dibs on hearing my new rap song.

At the risk of sounding like a smartass, try to find a store where you can try some on. Really the only way to know if you'll like them is to use them.

I had a pair of Sony noise canceling headphones. I loved them, low profile and comfortable. Sound was great too. Lasted awhile until my dog got whole of them.

I prefer in the ear so I went with skullcandy. They were $30 and they allow me to still use the mic on my iPhone.
There are Bluetooth in the ear ones my ex was looking at but I know they were pretty steep in price.
I have tried the Sony over the ear headphones and I'd like the look and sound of those. I am pretty sure you can get them under $50 w/ taxes.

You are right, I am a big time baller, tv star, but I am still a cheap ass. If I broke a $299 pair of head phones I would cry. I already smashed one computer this season, prolly more carnage to come.

We attempted to watch a movie, the in flight intranet brought the suck that flight, however we did play with the headphones and enjoy a drink to two...and come on green, nick said he liked them, and he hates everything...I've seen you do way dumber things than smash $299 headphones, so you are good

I tried out a pair (30mm?) of the smaller monster ones at Walmart, hooked it up to my phone to listen to familiar songs and I was really impressed.

I periodically wear these at work to prevent the contagion some people call "stupid" from infecting me. It looks more civilized than wearing my Husqvarna ear protection.

They also sound decent.

loud enough to drown out the stupid at work & good enough that the kids try to steal them.
