You came into this thread and claimed your reason for not joining the military was because your father said that you would be ruined by serving with the lowest forms of scum on the Earth. You regurgitated that piece of shit and ignorant statement in this thread. I saw plenty of worthless, pathetic and complete shit bag MPs while I was in. Your dear old dad obviously thinks he was better than everyone else because of his chosen MOS. Classic shit bag.

Next time you come into a thread like this you might not want to insult every service member here with that line of POG vomit as your reason for not joining.

There's absolutely no shame in NOT serving but claiming you didn't for the reason you stated is absolutely ignorant and pathetic.

Your reply is awesome and there could be no retort if it were based in reality.

You assign hidden meaning where there is no hidden meaning.

My Dad and our family support the military 100%.

How many people, who got the boot from service, are escorted out by MPs? These are the ones he's referring to, not the brothers in service.

We didn't call the MPs to escort those assholes off post once we finalized their expulsion. We did it ourselves. Only units I ever saw ask for help driving someone to the gate were support units.

And let's not forget the civilian police service after you get out...

My Dad would have had no problem with my brother being an MP, he has the mental capacity for it. He presumed I did not and I believed him.

One thing that really Erks me are the people that all enlisted just cause of 9/11. Shit I enlisted cause I wanted to serve my country out of my heart not for a disaster. I was on the USkearsarge a part of the 24meu when 9/11 was happening. Talk about shitting bricks. We left port in Croatia and stood by at red alert incase they wanted to send us in right away.
We were watching the TVs in disbelief.
I think we were going out to relieve the 24th meu. I was on the 26th meu and was stuck at Detroit metro on sept home on leave. We ended up in Kandahar right around thanksgiving.

What is wrong with 9/11 being the deciding factor to join the military? When 9/11 happened I was 18 and was torn as to what I wanted to do. The marines was on my list but I wasn't sure. 9/11 was the straw that broke the camels back for me and made up my mind for me. Well that is until they said no because of my back and I went the direction that I am now. It wasn't the only reason it was just enough to push me over the line.

Suuure, why give money to disaster relief charities only when there is a disaster, you should just give all your money all the time right? What is wrong with stepping up your pride and support for USA when there is a tragedy or time to show support? I think it is awesome when the USA is in a time of need / support and flags pop up everywhere, its an awesome reminder of what this country is all about.

So you never step up your support or charitable contributions during a time of need? You give 100% all the time right?

I'm not sayin that though. But as soon as I got out of the military I joined a veteran organization that donates time and money to charitable groups.

So since you don't like people that step up a little extra during a time of need you must really have a serious hatred for people who never join.

You need to unfuck yourself.

You are in no way better than anyone else on here who never served. When you made that choice you didn't put yourself above the rest of the population. You put yourself below it in the name of honor. Why do you think it's phrased "We served" our country?

Without these civilians we wouldn't have had the food we ate, the vehicles we drove, the weapons we carried, the clothes we wore or the ammunition we fired.

Your perspective on this is beyond jacked especially considering how many people on this board have gone out of their way to lend real support via care packages and a whole lot of other things to service members on this board during their times of need and while they were deployed.

If you think your military service puts you on an altar and that you are better than anyone else on here because of it you are an absolute disgrace to the rest of us who have served honorably.
