I like Jace the best
Phil is number two: I love the fact that he just bails whenever the DNR comes around!
Godwin is my 3rd favorite, he is pretty hilarious.

How is a pastor worth that much? He must have a large collection plate at his church.

You dont think his dad gave him a % of the company? He did work for him when he was younger and I am sure that he is proud that his son is a pastor so he is going to make sure he and his family is doing alright. Everyone in that family is loaded.

the pastor that officiated at my wedding... his last name is "park"

shortened from "parke"

as in parke-davis. As far as I can recall he's never accepted a salary from the churches he's been in charge of. (he ended up marrying one of my mom's best friends)

somebody once said, that when you come from money, you tend to have money... go figure.

anyway, he has some pretty cool ancient Tiger's memorabilia in his in-home office.

yeah I'm sure any family would just excommunicate, and cut off their eldest son, who used to, and still occasionally works for the company because he chose to enter the ministry... not to mention a family that shares and professes their faith with their business, and on their show in this day and age when virtually every religion is under attack from the secular world and/or the ACLU

it's highly probable that they have some decent tax/legal advisers that started estate planning long ago, and that the majority of his "net worth" is in non-liquid shares of the company.

I wasn't trying to bag on pastors or how much they make, there are a lot of good ones and there are bad ones. Im just saying money makes people do things. Funny things, and this guy wanting to get on tv, just to "spread the word" is a bunch of crap IMO. But yes BBAXJ is right, this is not the place and I should have known better

Are Hancho and Kickstand off on a romantic couples retreat or something? This thread has been up for almost 18 hours and neither of them have chimed in to tell us all that we're wrong and how badly this show sucks.

funny, I think of someone raised in a religious family, that pursued ministry as a profession and already has a networth of $3M and honestly have no problem at all believing that his agreement to join the show is to help spread the word. in fact I can't really think of another reason why he would want to be on the show.

*shrug*

when that show first came on, I thought that I would never watch some dumb show about rednecks making duck calls. Then about four months ago I watch it and loved it! Now I watch it all the time. SI is awesome!

I think it's awesome how Phil has a masters degree in education. Which he earned starting over Terry Bradshaw in college.
