Old post, but I just saw it. Why'd you have to swap to a shorter pitman arm? Seems like almost everybody running a D60 in a TJ needs a longer pitman arm than stock(Astro, Waggy, etc). I just got a Waggy arm for mine but would curious to know what you ended up using and why.

as for wires i drilled and installed in chord grip connector. ill take a picture for you. its an electrical connector i use at work alot. cost me $5.86 at the supply house. but basically it bolts to the rci lid. then it has a rubber bushing with a 1/4" hole that i fed the 2 #14 wires threw. Then it has an outer threaded hub that tightens the rubber bushing and seals around the wires. i chose the rci filler to mount everything because it was removable and i could keep from any debris falling into cell when drilling it out.
Nick, when I took your advice a year ago I mounted my pump like you suggested. The pump was 3/8 outlet and the siphon tube was 1/2, so I used a double-nipple to splice the two sizes together. I was unsure if my blue Goodyear hose could be submersed in fuel so I threw a chunk of it in a salsa jar with some gas which has since proven to deteriorate. I bought some submersible hose but it only came in 3/8. What did you use to step up to your siphon tube? I'm gonna hit Grainger at lunch to see if they have a 1/2" compression fitting that could be used, but what did you do?

I'll check when I get home, but I think that was a typo. I believe I ended up using a waggy arm which was LONGER than the one I started with. Trade me tires.
