i will lose my job by july 13th. we subcontract for another company.
they are taking all the work. we are screwed!
i am the last driver left. its very sad, i am gonna miss it!
i got an offer from the company taking over, but it wont be the same.
i will probably take the offer? i have been here almost 9 years!
took my first 2 personal days last week, never ever called in sick.

i went and had a couple cold ones tonight! i never do that during the week!

Very sorry to hear. I have lived through two site closures (~3000 employees in Ann Arbor, ~1000 employees in St. Louis). Do what you have to to survive, and try not to let it change you too much. Remember, your purpose in earth is greater than to just do your job.

Best wishes.

From what I can tell of you, you're a good guy.

Good guys usually get remembered in good ways. I had a friend who was in your position, was offered a step up and didn't take it because he was loyal to his company. What was offered to him was a lateral move in his job, but with better pay and benefits. Sounds like you got offered the same thing. Its your decision, but it sounds like someone remembered you are a good guy.

Good luck.

sorry to hear about your bad news.

however, am PLEASED that you for not giving in but saying there's always another job out there in your field.

seems like today sooooo many would just say, "screw it, gonna take unemployment the food stamps"

hang in there

Take the offer. If it works out, great. If not, you have time to look for something else.

Good luck.

X2, it's easier to get a job when you already have one.

Take the job, unless you can live on $362 per week. Being unemployed is hard on you financially and mentally.

I lost my job once.

Well, I didn't actually lose it, I knew where it was. It's just that when I went there, there was some new guy doing it.
