I have a 2wd hpi blitz stadium truck brushless and set up to run lipo but has not battery right now. Also has aftermarket piggy back shocks.

Trust me and go with the slash, I have the 4x4 and it is so much fun. There is a reason Traxxas sells so many of them.

I bought mine from Ebay used and it was $350 for a brushless with 2 lipo batterys and a charger. You can buy cheap 3s lipos off of HobbyKing and it will do 45mph all day. I put a set of paddles on it and took it to SL and I could hydroplane across lake michigan if I wanted to and pull wheelstands like crazy!

I just checked ebay for a few days and waited for a good deal, they are out there!

Oh and it is really nice that they are 100% waterproof, I had the thing caked with about an inch of wet sand underneath the body and I just pulled the battery out and went and dunked it into Lake Michigan and cleaned it off! Cant really do that with a lot of these trucks, especially the older ones.

I agree on the Slash as well. I have a 2wd and 4wd version. They are a beast and they can take a beating ! The VXL system doesn't like 3s lipos and overheats easily. So get a esc fan if you plan on using 3s. But they are freaking nuts on 3s lipo power ! Mine is geared for 60mph plus.

How do you like the gearing? I thought about doing it to mine but you really have to have a big area to get her moving that fast! Do you lose a lot of the low end power? Thats really what I am worried about, I like being able to pull the wheels off of the ground!

I like the speed , but it can get boring rather quickly. I have more then one so having one set up for just speed and another for general bashing works out good for me. The one set up for the speed still has decent low end power and pulls the tires with no problems. Even pulls the front tires off the ground while running down the road. I actually have to turn down the punch control on my DX3r to keep it under control.
