custom windshield sprayer ideas?

i want to make some better sprayers for the windshield on my mud truck. my idea is to use maybe a 800 gph bilge pump mounted in a 10gal drum in the bed of my truck and run a hose up to the front. so far my idea for the sprayer itself is to take the sprayer off a sprinkler that swings back and forth for your lawn and mount that to the cowl on my truck. the idea is to be cheap and effective. i figure 800 gph running thru that sprinkler tube should give me good pressure coming thru the small holes and a pretty decent area of windshield will be covered. any other ideas or designs you guys have used or seen would be very helpful. thanks

Your bilge pump is probably more about volume than head pressure so you won't get as much spray as your expecting.

Think maybe a rv style electric water pump would work a little better for pressure without using tons of water?

Not really sure on the difference in pressure from the bilge pump to a rv style water pump. Just an idea!

Never done one either, but I would use some garden sprayer nozzles like those in the grocery store, tap them into a 1/2" cpvc manifold you make and pair it with a 400gph with your water holding tank. Run the manifold over the top of windshield. Drink beer and enjoy.

i thought about mounting it up top over the windshield but i feel like down on the cowl would look much better. now if i had a visor i could build it into that but i dont and i dont plan on spending the money on one either. but yea nozzles im going to use is pretty much the only thing im unsure about. i just figured the sprinkler head that waves back and forth would be nice since it has about 15 ish little nozzles to spread the water out.
