300,000 miles today is like 150,000 20 years ago. Cool, but not all that uncommon.

My last ambulance had 318k miles on it when it went on its last call. I would have shed a tear, but that truck was a pile of fucks. Plus, I was too busy celebrating having a truck you could actually shut off and have better than 5% chance it'd restart.

My best freinds wife has about 390,000 on her 94 z71. He wants to get her a new truck but she will have no part of it. We have done ujoints, exaust, shocks, brakes two starters and 5 radiators since 1995. Never been in the motor or trans other then tb spacer and injector spacer.

Things sure have changed. When I was a kid you never saw a car with more then 100,000 miles on it.

I did rear brakes on my father in laws 1998.5 dodge ram 2500 2wd ctd this weekend. Replaced the original drums with a mere 615k miles on them. He bought the truck new and it's never had anything done to besides consumables. He drives from Pinckney to I94 and Van Dyke everyday. Personally I don't like to keep a truck for more than 50k miles.
