Sell it. Find another XJ outside the rust belt.

A one-way plane ticket, or driving down south with trailer, is cheaper than body work.

It's not that bad. Just the parts that make the thing straight, rigid and strong are rusting out, little stuff really. Lol sorry , just my sense of unibody humor.

Just go to the closest shop to you and have them give you a quote. It will not be cheap.

But there was a girl that posted some rust work and a full repaint for damn cheap. A guy out of Rochester did it for her I think.

If you do the off roadin' thing, look up the square tube rocker panel replacement. It can be made to look almost like the stock panel too.

But I heard she didn't have a gag reflex so start with maybe carrots and move upto cucumbers just to be safe because sometimes rust can really be a mother fucker to take care of because of the salt used in Michigan because sometimes it snows alot and the facking fip's come up in their little BMW imports and don't know how to drive in the snow good because there on the other side of the lake where the waves arnt so big because even tho its the windy city it usually blows the other way so good luck getting up to cucumbers because if you want it done cheap you better not have a gag reflex,
