Default 1970 El Camino 4x4 (Macomb Mi)

Hey guys, thought I would post this here and see if anyone could help me out. I have been trying to locate this El Camino for sometime. It was for sale on Ebay back in the mid 2000's, it was from around Macomb Mi. Was wondering if anyone from that area recalls it or knows the person who had it. Thanks, Mike

An ad agency bought it and painted it flat black. They used it in a Doritos commercial in late 2011-early 2012. Contact Doritos they might be able to help you out.

There is a local guy by the name of Barry that drive's one very close to that. It's orange now but looks really close to that. Look up Barry's Ace Maintence in Waterford, MI. Hope this helps

Sounds like my grandma's neighbor. There is an Orange one like that on pine knob lane, across from the fire department off maybee rd, between sashabaw and Clintonville.

Seems to sit a little higher than Barrys. But very well could be his. His shop is right next door to my friends dads private shop. Next time I see it I'll take a closer look at it

8PTbuck, that would be awesome if you could do that or even take some pics for me. Any idea how long Barry has had his Elky? This one in question was sold in around 2005. What might be a dead give away if Barry's Elky is this one is the rose etching that is on the windows in the corners. Thanks guys for you help!

Just talked to my buddys dad and he said he thinks Barry sold it. To be honest, I haven't seen it this year nor did I see it that much (or if I saw it at all) last summer. I know I saw it quite a bit in 2011 though. Long nights at the shop every night, seemed to be kinda the norm to see it.

Any chance you might have pictures of it hanging around?

No I don't, sorry. If I see it around though, I will try and remember to take a picture of it.

I talked to Barry last night, he still has his Elky and it is not the one I am looking for. So I guess the search continues. :)

Marshall, I didn't notice your post until now, could you check on that one out by your grandmas? Was it on 44" tires that you recall? Thanks.

The One in the AD has IFS up front and as you can see this is SAS.

But I have seen the one in Waterford and it looks just like it.

It was an El Camino mounted on a H2 chassis.
