I'm not confused. The one one side I have been in is just one big room with no walls to separate the dozens of tables. Not the best atmosphere. Maybe the other side is different?

Wow, lots of good suggestions. I just hate to eat franchise food when out of town, there's always better food to enjoy. And since most people get fat on the Gov't dime when they travel, I figured steak and salad would be the way for me! That and the use of my bicycle in the back of my truck.

Day off today, back to work tmrw. Hitting Bubbas, and then touring Bravo Zulu Brewery while they are in the building stages. Friend of mine owns that place.

My cousin has a nice little restaurant in cedar, mi. Great breakfast. Not sure about dinners.

I also like Mackinac brew company in traverse.

Most people have no problem with this. Or even think about it. Very small price to pay for some really great food.

I've not been there, but if mountainbikinbryno's description is accurate I wouldn't enjoy that atmosphere much myself.

Don't let it stop you from going there, as I said it is really good food. I just prefer a different setup. I guess I shouldn't have said cafeteria. Here's one end of the room, looks like it was setup here for a banquet but they do put a lot of tables in there.

Boones is great for prime rib. The Steaks are good also. If your Boss is paying Copper Falls is the Place to go for a higher end dining experience with great cuts of meat. They are the new Steak house in town. Modes Bum Steer Does have great Steaks but the dinning room is is from the late 70's and needs a remodel

I love that place. I rarely visit TC without going there and North Peak. I just didn't suggest it cuz I don't think they have steak. Great perch and pulled pork though, and of course beer.

It's still well worth a visit, it's just very open.

thanks for the wonderful input to this thread. I'd like to take your advice but I feel you would more enjoy taking your advice, printing it up on an inkjet printer, ball it up into a tight wad, and hold on it in your hand. Then, violently fist yourself and take pics. Save pics to your computer, print them, repeat.

What restaurant do you speak of and who is your cousin? My good buddy Matt Ackley's brother owns the Cedar Rustic Inn.

The internet shrinks the world.

Nikki is my cousin.

Aaron makes some damn good breakfast, never made it over there for lunch or dinner.

So people don't want to go to Boone's because they have a lot of tables? Seriously? Don't most restaurants have a lot of tables? Don't know of many that give you your own private area away from everyone else. Sounds like griping about a whole lot of nothing. Enjoy the food and don't sweat the small stuff.
