Shit I filled my personal truck with diesel...... 6 months ago. Now that we are on that topic it just made me think, do I need an aglicide additive? It will probably not have fresh diesel until fall.

Me too. Except I have my wife's Tahoe today, and had to get gas. Yikes.

the "problem" we are told in detroit is due to a gasoline shortage because of decreased refinery capacity in indiana caused by needed maintence.

so my question is.............

if prices are up due to a SHORTAGE in supply, why have i not seen gas stations with "out of fuel" signs or at least some pumps out of service because the tanks are empty?

huh? huh?

I try to stay away from there because I noticed the same thing. I prefer speedway over everything. Down there on Dixie and Telegraph it is normally the cheapest!

it's a regional shortage, not a national or global shortage. it's being trucked in from further out, thus incurring higher shipping charges, as well as typical demand-driven gouging.

of course there's the other possibility too - your tinfoil hat is covering your eyes and thus you can't see some of the pumps that are out of service (I honestly don't recall anytime since the 70s embargo have I seen signs indicating 'no gas' - they just usually say out of service, or have a red ribbon on the handle)

Yea that is where I get gas. Either there, the BP at Walton and Telegraph, Auburn Hills Meijer, or the VG's Quick Stop. My mom shops at VG's so I usually get about $.20 off a gallon. I have never had a problem at any of those stations.

Gotta love free shit.

I go to speedway every time I fill up for the speedy rewards points. I used to just use my CC at the pump like most people and you get like 100 pts for a fillup or whatever. I then found out that if you go inside and buy a general gift card, you get 2000 speedy points for every $100.

So I normally put $300 on the gift card at one time so that is 6000 speedy points just on the card, and then you still get the 100pts for each fillup at the pump. Save the points until you can get a fuel gift card ($100 gift card = 97,000 pts)

Might as well get free fuel for just using a gift card!

I will have to try this. I wonder how the company is going to feel about all the gift card on my expense report.

yes. The price of fuel has increased significantly. This is all I'm going to add to this thread.
