Default Stuck in the 'burbs

Hey all,
My name's Doug, and I'm driving a 1989 wrangler, 4.3 v6 auto trans (auto... I know, I'm cheating. May do a swap sometime down the road). I've only had the jeep for about a year and it's partly a resto project. The vehicle was sitting for a few years so it took a little TLC to get rid of a few of the gremlins, however it is now running smooth. Let me say that body work on the other hand is a whole different story- regardless, I've already dove into assessing the rust on the body/frame and am coming close to being able to give it a new paint job as well as an interior & undercarriage bedlining. -Side note: torx bolts... never again.-
Anyways, being located just SW of Detroit, about halfway to Ann Arbor, the jeeping/offroading community seems rather scarce. With that being said, I'm looking forward to opportunities to chat, BS, and ideally pick up on a few tricks, tips, and trades to really get this show on the road; and possibly catch one of these deals on a nice 4x4 truck in due time.

Welcome and don't worry, you're not the only one stuck in the 'burbs.
