Not looking forward to seeing my upright bandsaw and Bridgeport when I get home :-( I forgot to grease all the surfaces up before I left.

It's good practice to run some heat in your shops and garages in the spring, when the humidity starts getting higher. Cold things, moist air, condensation. I know some of my friends run their heat more in the spring then the winter just for this reason.

Sidenote, anything applicable you can put under vehicles as a barrier between the concrete and your underbody?

I have this problem also, might try the ceiling fan idea. Seems like it would help?

Branik covered his chassis in that protectant instead of paint. It has a mild yellow tint, but it works great. I will be using it as well.

I don't think Amsoil is the best stuff on earth, in fact I don't even use it on my DD anymore. However I ran the amsoil race oil in my buggy and it made it a torturous 6 miles up resolution, down back door, through a canyon and up another side mountain and into main pits on a quart of oil, with no compression lossed.

Still scrubbing. I've never had rust like this. All the black oxided bolts on the Bridgeport like the head swing and swivel are rusted. I told my wife it's like someone sprayed salt all over and she said you know, they just chlorided the roads. Hmmmmm........ I'm wondering if I had the perfect storm. Fresh Chloride on the gravel roads and a high humidity swing all at once.

Everywhere I look in my garage I have rust. I'm thinking I have days before I find it all.

I didnt have time to clean yet, lightly coated everything with oily spray. Was very disapointed to see my planer surface orange color. I cried a little.

We wipe down all our machines with a light coat of used way lube on an old rag after using wd40 for general cleaning.
