1) Contact vendor you want to supply for
2) setup account as vendor (may require ordering x amount of $$$$)
3) sell to people
4) you owe me $4,500 for business consultation

uh........ you're the one who wants to be a parts supplier.
One would think YOU would do some market and product research about manufacturers to work with, what current demand is etc.

and $4,500 is not a lot for a consultant at all

I don't know how hard it is to be a vendor for them, but you may look into Motor State. They carry a lot of product lines.

You need to specialize part of whatever part of the sport you want. There is no way you can compete with the "we sell everything at 1/2 the price" warehouses.

For instance lets take the ford bronco you used as your picture. Being in auto body you have access to the crash network and know the places to go to get quality parts. With that in mind you can be a supplier of nos bronco parts and so on. Of course there are a few people around you selling bronco parts already.

Once you have what you want to sell you need to look at if it is worth selling.

For instance say you are able to buy a lot of 250 cucv 14bolt rear ends from a surplus supplier. You need to look at the supply demand and your competition before hand.

Take this site for instance
http://www.hillbillywizard.com/axles.html

They have specialized in cucv, and deuce parts mostly at the moment. They even offer a trade feature(cool). Of course they have shirts and stuff. There prices are fair any they are only selling what is in demand. They have been in business 15 years and it is from selling what sells.

I know you are just starting out so I will not ask for anything in return for my useless advise. Although 80% off any purchases in 2016 would be a nice perk. There are tons of people, sites, and seminars to go to in your free time to make sure every penny you invest is going to return you dollars.

Here is one that I personally like.
http://www.score.org/

Research saves money, having connections saves money, saving money saves money, being dependable/honest saves money(Joshua who?), being realistic saves money and so on.

Most importantly if you don't care what you sell you are just another retailer. Why should they buy from you when they can get the same product in Ohio(etc) for 20% less. Start off answering that question.

Best of luck to you.
