They might not even file a claim against you because she could get in trouble.
If this is true then ho come when I take my wife's can in to the dealership they give me a loaner with a dealer plate. When I went to look at new truck the trucks I test drove had dealer plates and after I bought my new truck it had to go in to have the plow put on so the dealer gave me a loaner for a day it also had dealer plates. So with that being said every time my wife or myself has driven a car or truck with dealer plates we were doing so illegally????

What if her car was getting fixed?

That's not true if her car was parked and he hit it its 100% his fault and his insurance company or he would have to pay for it.

I just went thru this with my insurance guy. If both car have someone in them and are not parked then it would be covered by no fault.

I was rear ended on the high way and the only thing I could do is go after the insurance company of the lady that hit me for my deductible and my insurance company was going to have to cover the rest. That's when I asked about me not being at fault and he explained it to me.

My car was hit, while I was legally parked. The person that hit me, their insurance paid everything. Never told my insurance about it. I'm not going to jack my rates because somebody else is dumb.

^^ this
If your car is LEGALLY parked and someone ELSE hits it, THEIR insurance pays for it. Had a semi driver back into my truck at work and THEY covered everything. My ins. didn't ever hear about it.

When you take a loaner car from a dealership, you sign a piece of paper stating that if the car is damaged, you are responsible (ie, your insurance).

Ask me how I know?
