Default 92 Wrangler Transmission

4.0L 5 Speed
This is an AX 15 correct?
Alright so to start - Was driving fine no shifting issues, went to a stop light felt like neutral it wasn't. Can not find a single gear, its stuck in 4th or 5th. I have not pulled the shifter off to see if its the cup yet, but figure I best get everything in order for my worst case. If its just the shifter I can replace that with the newer style from b&m cheaply.
Is a dodge dakotya 5.2L with the manual the same transmission? I found a friend who has one that I can have until I rebuild mine better.
OR whats the next upgrade. I am only running 33's and tow my boat with it along with drive it when its affordable / nice.
Any thoughts?

Swapped it with another. Started pulling it apart. Still not 100% on what froze up in it.
