Never had it.
Home made is better!
Stuff I buy at Meijer sucks as a side dish, but is great for stir fries and soups.
I recently finished off a jar my mom made for me

Ummmm Kim chee. I have to agree, store bought for soups and home made for side dish/snacking.

The Brinery in Ann Arbor has some pretty good Kimchi, Pickles and Saurkruat. mm.

I liked eating it with my eggs in the morning, sometimes I could eat it just by its self. How else do you serve it?

Cut up some pork in thin slices. Brown in a frying pan.
In soup pot boil up vegetable stock and add a whole small jar of kimchi. Stew till desired tenderness. Then add in the pork and fresh green onion cut into 3" lengths. Spoon into bowls with a scoup of rice.

That is a down and dirty method.
