Detroit (SE Mich) roll cage shop

Hi all.

Does anyone have a Detroit/Ann Arbor area custom fab shop that can make a custom roll cage for my Jeepster Commando that you like? Looking for someone reputable and hopefully not too pricy. My budget is not huge.

I want to do something custom because I do not like anything online I have found.

thanks!

There's JeeperzCreeperz in Wyandotte. Kevin runs a great shop. That's the closest to to.

Unlimited Offraod in Fenton, another very reputable group that is always supporting events in this state and has some very capable fabricators, can do and customize about anything.

Ironman Offraod in Midland, the farthest, but another great outfit, that can do and customize.

Reiter Metalcraft does some very nice work. I had a 6 point cage put in a Mustang a while back. He had it back to me in 3 days and very nice work and all Tig welded for $800.

In the Mt Clemens area.

Yes, we can do anything you want but I don't think cheap will be part of the equation. we are in jackson.

on second thought our pricing may not be to bad if you have cad and design the parts around tooling we already have. what size tubing you thinking?

Hi all.

Thanks for the feedback and reccomendations.

I am thinking a 1.75-2.0" diameter, 0.120-0.125" thick bar (that is about typical right? My first roll bar).

I doubt I would have CAD for it. If design is a big issue, perhaps I would be ahead by buying one of these "family cages" and making small modifications to it as I like...? Just have someone weld it up?

Thanks.
