Default Theft in the Towing Company Yard

I had the Dakota towed on May 2 after an accident.
The Company was Tims Towing of Holland.
I have owned this truck since 2001 (new) and I know the truck very well.
The truck gets 15-19 MPG always has and still does.

I always fill the gastank, never do I put in a few dollars worth.
The truck has a 22 gal tank.
When I got the truck delivered to my home after it was locked in their yard for 18 hours..........The tank was near empty the dash had a low fuel warning light and the trip meter, which I always reset upon fill up, read 158 miles. Do the math.

Heres a recomendation for a tow company NOT to trust.

I really don't care if they actually stole the gas or they were negligent in the security of their lot. Fact is, someone syphoned the gas out of my truck while they were responsible for it.

How bad was the accident, could it have caused a fuel leak? If not tell the towing company about your loss of gas and you suspect someone is getting into their lot and stealing gas from the vehicles. That will let them know you noticed the missing gas but not accuse them of taking it.

No leaking fuel,........The truck was home and gone thru by myself the day after the accident. It went down the road, Sold last night.
I am heading over to the yard this morning..........wondering if they have video.??

This doesn't surprise me. In the 90s my car was towed, I picked it up in the morning with my electrical tools missing. Fuggers got a nice Fluke meter.

If all they stole was gas, I would consider myself lucky. I am surprised that they didn't leave the headlights on in order to get you with the $50-100 jump start fee.

When the vehicles go behind the gate at the tow yard it is a free-for-all.

I have had a friends truck stripped of all the bolt on accessories. They didint know anything about it.

Tires and wheels suddenly changing from aluminum with good rubber to steelies and bald tires. Again, they didn't know anything about it.

The last straw was pulling lights, badges and draining the fuel out of my Dad's Harley.

Anything that is towed, of mine, is towed to my house or perfered repair facility. Crooks.

Let me just say the one is Central-y located in Muskegon and the other is not as Reliable as they seem.

All within the last three years.

Crooks

Hmm. Interesting. Central was recently sold off, and Reliable and Staffords when back to the origional owner. I'm glad you didn't say Dales, because I worked there for 3 years. If there was a problem there now, I'd have to go beat the kid that's running it's ass, then tell his dad, who would whip him harder.
